Will taking vitamin tablets help make me healthier even with a bad diet?
I have a very bad diet, it’s mainly carbs eg bread and potato based foods, chocolate, cereal and junk food. I’m 18 so I know it’s bad but I can not afford to feed myself as I have animals to feed and they come first. Will tablets help me be healthier?
No, vitamin pills only cost money and they do not contain all the nutritients you need.
Potatoes are a great basis, but you need to add something more. Instead of junk food and chocolate, buy some fresh carrots, joghurt, apples or other cheap and healthy things to eat and to cook with. Seasonal vegetables are cheaper. Yes, in winter, it will be probably be boring cabbage. But it’s still healthy. I know you probably can’t afford them all at once, so try to buy bigger packs (cheaper) and alternate between different things weekly or so. Do you have a freezer? Frozen vegetables are as good as fresh ones (much better than canned) and you can keep them in the freezer for many months.
